The DGPPN and CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH (‘CPO’) take great care to protect the personal data of their website users. Personal data are data that can be associated with your person and provide information about your behaviour or characteristics. They include your name, address, postal address and telephone number as well as information about your possible interests and browsing habits, if this information can be directly or indirectly ascribed to you.
When collecting, using and processing the personal data you provide we adhere to the strict data protection regulations in Germany and the provisions of the EU Data Protection Directive.
Non-personally identifiable data
When you visit our websites or one of the files provided on the website, for internal system-related and statistical purposes information is stored on our servers that could potentially allow you to be identified (name of the retrieved file, the date and time of the retrieval, the volume of data transferred, confirmation of successful retrieval, the web browser used and the requesting domain). This information is not processed in a personally identifiable form. We reserve the right to statistically analyse anonymised datasets.
Collection, use and processing of personal data for the use of our online services
If you register for a congress, reserve a hotel or make another booking on our website, we will ask for your name and other personal information that we need to process the request. We only use and process these data to respond to your enquiries, process contracts with you and for technical administration. Your personal data are only disclosed or otherwise transmitted to third parties if this is necessary to process your contract (e.g. for the reservation of a hotel room booked through CPO), for billing purposes or if you have given your explicit consent.
Deletion of your personal data
Your personal data will be deleted after expiration of the legal, statutory or contractual retention period as long as they are no longer required to fulfil a contract. In other cases, data will be deleted if the purposes described in the consent no longer apply. If there is a retention period, when the reasons for collection or use no longer apply the data will be locked rather than deleted.
Visibility of your personal data to other users
When you submit a contribution to the congress you consent to the unlimited publication of your personal data in the congress programme (print and online version). This includes your first and last names, place of residence and, if applicable, the country that you specified in your registration.
If you have agreed to receive newsletters, we will send you them by e-mail. Our newsletters will inform you about the congress for which you have registered and about future congresses we are organising that may interest you. If you no longer wish to receive this newsletter, you can unsubscribe from future mailings at any time.
We will not use or share your personal data for our own advertising or third-party advertising purposes without your consent.
